Do you ever wonder, What would God want me to do in this situation? Whether you’re seeking God’s will in the big decisions or the small, the Bible is FULL of wisdom, direction, and encouragement to help us find and follow God’s Will. Join us today as Brittany Ann teaches us how to confidently hear God’s voice, understand His Word, and determine His will for ourselves.
“There are so many misconceptions about what God’s will is. Following God’s will is what God asks from us and wants from us.”
“Following God’s will isn’t about finding the one big thing. Following God’s will is asking Him what He would want for me and each specific situation.”
“Pray: God, what do you have for me today?”
“Be faithful with what God has given me right now.”
“I want to help take the Bible’s general commands and live them out practically today.”
“When we make any decision, we need to start with asking,” Am I loving people and am I loving God?”
“The purpose of following God‘s will is not to figure it out. It’s more about a journey of learning about who God is so we can be more like Him.”
“Hearing God’s voice is easier the more that you do it.”
“If it is shaming and condemning then the thought is not from God, it is from the enemy.”
“Does the thought, idea or action line up with Scripture?”
“Is this thought true and logical?”
“Does this thought honor God or only yourself?”
“Does this thought lead to growth or shame?”
“Always start with prayer.”
“What would this verse or concept have meant to the original author?”
“What is the main overarching idea?”
“The Bible was written for us but it was not written to us.”
“How do we steward what He has given as well?”
“Work is good. Work was created before the fall.”
“I don’t think it’s so much about what we do, but the way that we do it.”
“The God of the universe loves me and He loves you. That is good news!”
“If you had something that you knew that you truly believed would help somebody, wouldn’t you want to help them? We have the solution to the world’s problems!”
“These are the fruit of the Spirit–not keep trying harder and you’ll get better at it. It really is the work of the Spirit in us.”
“The Holy Spirit empowers us to do more than we could ever do on our own.”
“God is enough when we are not.”
To be a love offering: “Throughout my journey as a Christian, I have never obeyed God and regretted it.
“Seek God and ask Him: How would you have me handle the situation and what would You have me do?”
